Week 9 Sunday Player Outlook: Props, Ladders and Touchdowns

Jeanty had two carries last week and still finished with 64 receiving Yds. I'm buying the passing work. Elsewhere, Keenan gets DAL underneath, Javonte gets a favorable lane off left tackle, and Jameson needs one good catch against MIA. Five main props, three ladder cards and five scoring picks for Sunday.

Two carries last week. The receiving work is a different story.

Jeanty's last four carry counts are ten, ten, eight and two. The receiving returns in those games were 50, 36, 61 and 64 Yds, from 18 catches on 24 targets. He has cleared 35.5 in seven of eight games, with six targets per game and a 17.2% season target share. I prefer this number to his 4.5 catches line: he has reached five catches only three times, but doesn't need five to reach 36 Yds. LV getting ten points in a 52.5 total points to another afternoon of passing work.

SF has allowed 49 catches on 55 RB targets. The left side is the useful overlap. Jeanty has 160 Yds on 18 combined short left and behind the line left targets; SF ranks 30th and 24th in YPT prevention in those areas. Its short middle and overall Cover 3 numbers are much tougher. Jeanty caught 11 of 12 Cover 3 targets for 122 Yds himself, so the answer isn't simply that he cannot handle the shell. It's the repeated underneath work, including routes into the softer left side, that makes the small Yds total appealing.
