CourtWatch: NBA Injury, Minutes and Lineup News by Team

CourtWatch collects injury, minutes, role and lineup news from each NBA team's beat reporter and the national insiders, summarizes every report, checks the summary against the original post and groups the updates by team.

More about CourtWatch

What it measures

  • Injury, minutes, role, usage, rest and lineup news for all 30 teams
  • A short summary of each report, with the reporter's exact words when there is a quote
  • The condition a report carries, such as a return that depends on how a player responds
  • When each post was made, collected and published, and when each team was last checked

Data and updates

Built on posts from each team's accepted beat reporter and three national insiders, read every few minutes around games and hourly otherwise. Summaries and quotes clear six hours after a post is first seen.

How to read it

  1. Pick a team or read every team stream at once, then narrow by topic, type or a search. Star the teams you follow and save the updates you want to keep.
  2. Read the summary and any condition, then open the original post. Last checked tells you when the team was last read, which is not the time of its newest story.

CourtWatch FAQ

Are the summaries checked?

Yes. Each summary is checked against the original post before it is published, and anything that fails the check is not shown. Quotes are only the exact words of the post, and every update links to the post itself.

Why does an update lose its summary?

Summaries and quotes clear six hours after the post is first seen. The update keeps its tags, times and the link to the original post for 48 hours from publication.
