NBA Cup Player Props: Five Matchups Beyond the Stars

Brooklyn has allowed the most catch and shoot threes in the opening sample, while Philadelphia has given up the most rebounds. Miami has been vulnerable to pull up shooting while protecting the paint, and Golden State has allowed 30 assists per game.

We picked out five props across five games, with two players worth a look on the ladder.

Original Statyx research checked October 30 at approximately 12:55 p.m. Pacific. Hart and Reaves research and lines were checked at approximately 1:30 p.m. Pacific. Lines and injury statuses can change. Current season defensive ranks cover only three to five games. Position defense figures are totals allowed to a position group, not projections for one player.

Robinson has attempted 8, 10, 9, 10 and 9 threes in five games. Statyx classifies 76% of his tracked makes as catch and shoot. Brooklyn ranks 30th in both catch and shoot makes and catch and shoot threes allowed.

There’s a catch: Brooklyn ranks third against off screen scoring, even though it has struggled against catch and shoot looks. Those are different classifications, and the play type sample is thin. Robinson cleared 3.5 in six of 20 games against defenses ranked 21st through 30th in catch and shoot makes allowed, and went under in all four recorded games against Brooklyn. The case for the over starts with his current volume in Detroit.

Ladder: Five or more threes is in play if you want a higher line. Robinson has hit five in three of five games this season. Check the alternate price before tip.

Hart has grabbed at least eight boards in three of five games. He’s averaging 14.2 rebound chances, with 12.0 on defense and 2.2 on offense. That’s up from 12.0 total chances across 66 tracked regular season games in 2025 to 2026, though this season’s sample is still small. A chance puts him near a missed shot; he still has to come away with the ball.

Philadelphia has given up 52.4 rebounds and 13.8 offensive boards per game through five games. The Sixers rank 21st in rebounds allowed to small forwards in the last 15 days, at 10.6 per game to the position group. Most of Hart’s chances come on the defensive glass, but Philadelphia’s offensive rebound allowance gives him another avenue.

Hart is expected to start alongside another strong rebounder in Karl Anthony Towns. He grabbed seven boards in 30 minutes against Philadelphia on October 20, and has cleared 7.5 in five of eight recorded meetings across seasons, averaging 9.0. Those older games came with different rosters and roles.

Philadelphia ranks fifth in defensive rating in the player page view. The appeal here is the volume of rebounds it has allowed so far, based on five games.

Ladder: Nine or more and 10 or more rebounds are the higher rungs. Hart has reached 10 once in five games this season, so check the prices before climbing.

Chicago has allowed 11.4 assists per game to point guards in the last 15 days view, second most in the league. White has six or more assists in three of four games this season. He had four in 18 minutes against Chicago on October 26, when Boston won by 35.

In White’s selected last 10 assist zone view, 30% of his potential assists go to the rim, 30% above the break and 20% to the corners. Jayson Tatum is his most frequent listed recipient, mostly at the rim; Paul George’s chances come mostly above the break. The destination table does not show a clear game count for the tracking sample.

The longer sample gives us pause: White cleared 5.5 in six of his last 20 games across seasons. His current role and Chicago’s allowance make the over interesting, but another blowout could cut into his minutes.

With Haliburton and McConnell out, Nembhard is expected to start and take on more of the playmaking. He played 35.3 minutes, attempted 16 shots and scored 18 in Indiana’s latest game. He is probable with neck soreness, so check for updated minutes guidance.

Pull ups account for 43% of his tracked makes, and Miami ranks 29th in pull up makes allowed. Using Statyx’s filter for defenses ranked 21st through 30th in that category, Nembhard cleared the displayed 17.5 line in 12 of 20 games and averaged 19.9 points. That filtered sample spans past games and does not reflect his current role alone.

Miami is second toughest in makes allowed within 10 feet, another area accounting for 43% of his tracked makes. Its play type ranks are 18th against pick and roll ball handlers and 20th in transition. His pull up game and added ball handling will matter against that tougher interior.

Austin Reaves

LAL at GSW · 7:00 p.m. Pacific

Reaves has made 55.0 passes per game through five games, compared with 49.8 for Luka Doncic in four. He’s getting plenty of touches as a passer alongside Doncic. Reaves averaged 8.5 potential assists per game in 51 games in the 2025 to 2026 regular season; a comparable current season potential assist figure was unavailable.

In the selected last 10 assist zone view, 33% of Reaves’s tracked potential assists went to corner threes, 28% above the break and 19% to the rim. Walker Kessler was his most frequent listed recipient with eight potential assists, mostly at the rim. Golden State has allowed 73.9% shooting in the restricted area, ranked 29th, and 33.6% above the break, ranked 18th. The Kessler connection is particularly interesting against that rim defense. The assist zone panel does not show a clear game count for the tracking sample.

Golden State has allowed 30.0 assists and 119.4 points per game through five games. Reaves has cleared 5.5 assists in three of five games this season, including six in 31.9 minutes against the Warriors on October 21. He is expected to start next to Doncic and is not on the injury report.

There’s a wrinkle: in Statyx’s last 15 days position view, Golden State ranks sixth toughest in assists allowed to shooting guards, at 4.0 per game for the position group. The Warriors rank 29th in defensive rating in the player page view and are without Moses Moody and Kristaps Porzingis, but the position numbers temper the broader team matchup.

Reaves has cleared 5.5 in seven of his last 10 games across seasons, though he had just one assist last time out. We prefer the 5.5 assists line to 10.5 rebounds and assists: he has cleared the combined line twice in five games this season.

How to read the data

Rank 1 is the toughest defense and rank 30 the softest. Current season rankings use a small opening sample. Position defense figures cover all players in that position group, not an individual matchup or projection. Shot types, play types and locations are different classifications and should be read together.
